As a company, and even more as a family, Jonar has supported many causes over the years.
Just about everyone likes the halo effect of brand marketing and the financial benefits of the tax receipts and yes, they are nice. However, they're not why we support our community. We believe in trying to leave the world a little bit better than it was when we got here. We don't have a restrictive policy on who we will support. We have supported medical research, community sports teams and anti-poverty causes. There are more worthy causes out there than people to support them.
Each year, we set aside funds to contribute to causes that are important to our staff and customers. If the cause makes sense to us, we make donations on a first come, first served basis. Unfortunately, we have never gotten to the end of a year without some unmet requests for help. It is our hope that one day we will.
