We are currently seeking a Junior Programmer to join our collaborative team with a focus on our EDI product. We are looking for intelligence, enthusiasm and a desire to learn. The successful candidate should grow within the role which will lead to advancement within the organization.
The duties of the position:
* Define, design, develop, test and install new EDI programs
* Maintain and update current EDI programs
* Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications
* Strong passion in developing/programming and debugging programs
* Write programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or performance of company applications as necessary
* Meet, discuss and gather requirements for new EDI programs (including interface and integration)
* Collaborate with other members of the JAS team
* Discuss, present to prospective customers/clients on proposal
* Create documentation including screen shots
* Learn new products and features as necessary
* Demonstrate understanding of Database concepts
* Train customer support users to use new or modified programs

* Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
* Bilingual (French and English) preferred

Educational Requirements
* Strong coding skills
* Visual Foxpro (ideal but not required)
* Visual Basic preferred
* Any other OOP (Object Oriented Programming) language is acceptable
* Experience with Database (SQL, mySQL, Oracle...)
* Knowledge of any ERP concepts is a plus; limited working knowledge is preferred
* Fair Working knowledge of using Word, Excel is a must
* Fair knowledge of Windows operating system
* Fair working knowledge of Internet use (searches, etc....)

Les responsabilités de l’employé :
* Définir, développer, effectuer le design, les tests et l’installation des nouveaux programmes EDI.
* Faire la mise à jour des programmes EDI existants.
* Écrire, traduire et encoder les applications en accordance avec les spécifications de façon consistante.
* Avoir une bonne compréhension des méthodes de programmation.
* Écrire des scripts de programmation pour améliorer la fonctionnalité et la performance des applications de la compagnie.
* Se réunir avec l’équipe pour discuter, élaborer et amasser les spécifications pour les nouveaux programmes EDI. (Incluant l’interface et l’intégration).
* Collaborer avec les autres membres de l’équipe JAS.
* Discuter les applications et faire la présentation à des clients potentiels.
* Créer la documentation nécessaire à l’usage des programmes, incluant les captures d’écran.
* Apprendre de nouveaux produits et fonctions, tel que jugé nécessaire.
* Formation des membres de l’équipe de support dans l’usage des nouveaux programmes.

* Habileté à prioriser et exécuter les taches requises sous pression.
* Habileté à travailler seul, et dans un environnement d’équipe collaborative.
Pré-requis éducationnels
* Forte habilité de programmation.
* Visual Foxpro (idéal mais non-requis).
* Visual Basic (préféré).
* Tout autre langage OOP (Programmation orientée-objet) est acceptable.
* Expérience avec bases de données (SQL, mySQL, Oracle...).
* Connaissance de concept de progiciels un atout.
* Connaissance des produits Microsoft (Word, Excel, etc…) ainsi que les systèmes d’exploitation Microsoft (Win XP, Win 7, etc…).
* Connaissance de l’internet (recherches, courriels, etc…).
* Bilingue (Français-Anglais) préféré.
