CME SMART ProgramThanks to funding provided by the Government of Ontario, Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) has created the SMART Program to help small and medium-sized manufacturers in Ontario improve their productivity so they can compete more effectively in the global economy. Projects Eligible for SMART Funding: IT best practices; Lean manufacturing. Eligible Costs: Software and capital equipment. At this time of application deadline is May 31, 2009. Yves Landry FoundationIn partnership with the Ontario Government, the Yves Landry Foundation is providing funding, up to $50,000 per project in the form of a grant, to foster training that will lead to advancements in innovation, and will support and develop Highly Skilled Personnel in any area that leads to innovation, within the manufacturing sector in Ontario. This can include training in the use of new software. Preliminary applications must be submitted by August 1, 2009 and full application by Sept 30, 2009. EMPLOI QUÉBEC LOCAL TRAINING GRANTSThese grants are given out by the local offices of Emploi Québec. The projects range from $15,000 to $20,000 and are 50% covered. These are local grants that are obtained by calling the enterprise specialist in your business district. |
